One of the most important themes that TV reports have to deal with is the problem of poverty and inequality around the world. There is poverty in Latin America, where Catholic priests fight the abuses of the rich; there is poverty in the Philippines, where the late “Minoy” Aquino and his wife overthrew the corrupt dictator Marcos; and there is poverty in France, where a great number of unemployed are now homeless.
