In a modern world, the relationship between filmmaker and subject has changed. It used to be thought that the filmmaker couId exploit the subject (and the reverse was rarely considered). Now, in an age of instant celebrities, subjects also use filmmakers for their own needs. We live in a culture of narcissism where everyone is out to get something. What is overt? What is covert? Do we know what we are out to get from eoch other? And what are we creating with these new relationships?
