There seem to be unwritten rules about how one deals with political issues on public television. Programs have to be investigative, revealing, serious. Does anyone dare to break these rules? If so, how can TV programmers and filmmakers present current political issues in an entertaining and surprising way? And when producers begin to inject freshness and humor into their political work, how do they do so without losing credibility or resorting to farce?
