In today’s polarised climate, it may be more important than ever to create a space for mutual understanding. Public service media programmes (should) have a unique ability to bridge divides between people with opposing viewpoints. By offering insights into different cultures, histories, and personal experiences, they (should) allow viewers to see the world through someone else’s eyes. Since after all, the only way to get out of our bubbles is to pop them.
