Public Service media has a responsibility to represent all sectors of the community. This is always a complicated balancing act when majority and minority communities are in opposition over social, cultural and political issues. We look at two examples of films dealing with conflict between minorities and the state. Both use powerful strategies to challenge mainstream media and conservative public opinion.
