Narrative, or the telling of a story, is usually the heart of both fiction and documentary un TV. The creativity and talent of producers present us with endless variations in both form and perspectives on content. Through these four programs, we see some of the best examples of new approaches to storytelling. These productions explore new techniques, sometimes using new technologies, sometimes through traditional forms. They show the confrontations that occur in the psychological realm: they document the demise of cultures and give us cause for reflection on our relationships as individuals with the institutions around us. Some are amusing and will make you laugh, some are poignant, others are sad, tragic stories. They are powerful, engaging samples of the art of storytelling.
