Without trying to be too highly philosophical it seems to us that TV in the late 80’s has given many new examples of using the subconscious through fantasy. The Encyclopaedia Britannica describes Phantasmagoric Production as follows: “A name invented by a certain Philipstal in 1892 (from Greek: phantasma, apparition) for a show or an exhibition of optical illusions produced by means of the projecting lantern. The word was later applied to any rapidly or strikingly changing scene or disordered fantasy”. We ask you to see to what strikingly changing scenes we have applied the word. You are invited to come on board our “phantom-train” (or join in with your own) and study with us whether or not the disordered fantasies of these production reveal to us hidden truths of our highly (dis-) ordered reality.
