In this world of exploding technical and scientific development public television can play an important role in encouraging young people to explore the interesting world of science. It is a real challenge for programme makers to make scientific experiments entertaining enough to attract younger audiences. How is it possible to develop television programmes on phenomena like electrical lighting, non-Newtonian fluid, Voronoi patterns or nitrate-explosions? Maybe by making compelling fiction, a poetic animation, a colourful studio show or just to simply follow three teachers collecting farts and see what happens when they put them on fire? In this session we present to you four programmes dealing with scientific experiments in very different ways.
