Session Focus: The handicraft of successful comedy What makes a comedy piece witty? What prejudices can we challenge by the choice? How can using the right protagonist in a story help better address sensitive situations? When are we laughing at, and when are we laughing with the characters? Is it true that ‛comedy is tragedy happening to someone else’? In this session we screen three comedies that all start out with harsh realities, where one might think it is absolutely no laughing matter. But it soon turns out to be!
