What ever happened to public broadcasting’s duty to deliver wonderful, educational television? Why do we think public television is boringly instructional while private broadcasters reach huge ratings screening entertainment and blockbusters? Sometimes public TV is overly concerned with social responsibility but perhaps we need new ways of engaging the audience.
