Public television´s staples, its meat- and-potatoes, are its programming of cultural and social issues. We are looked to, in our countries, as the main source for music, dance, art and documentaries. We fulfill that expectation, and we fulfill it well. It is no secret, however, that some of our formats have becomes somewhat stale: when have you last seen a musical performance realized in a new way? Or seen a visual artist´s work presented in a manner that wasn´t ultimately static? Or a discussion of, ay, alcoholism organized other than as a panel talk show? The programmes in this session show new ways of approaching old ideas: you may like them or hate them, but they truly show us an effort to breathe new life into our work.
