Mauricio Kagel, an Argentinean living n West Germany, is a famous composer of electronic music and new genre opera. HE began as a radio play which metamorphosed into a full-fledged television work. It is a night in the life of a lonely man trapped in the banality of daily routine. The radio plays an important role in his drama. Robert Wilson, the creator of the monumental theater piece “Einstein on the Beach” and “The Civil Wars” is a theater director and designer known for his striking visual tableaux and an unusual sense of time and space. STATIONS is a series of lush visual images, a fantasy full of obsessive and repetitive actions and slow tempos that weave a hypnotic spell. Raoul Ruiz, a Chilean director who came to Paris ten years ago, is the leading avant-garde filmmaker in France today. His work is highly romantic with a quirky questioning modernism that is Ruiz’s distinctive voice. THE THREE CROWNS OF THE SAILOR is a poetic tale, a story within a story, set in a vividly surreal limbo world.
