Web, meet TV! TV, meet Web! A blend of short experimental films and other micro-cinema, performances by bands, poets, comics, choreographers and contributions from the audience. Viewers are able to participate by uploading their personal creations and post commentary via discussion forums, chat rooms, e-mail, voice mail and instant messaging – any of which end up in the broadcast. As much as possible, the show is viewer-driven in a bid to achieve “open-source television”. ZeD targets the twenty-to-thirty-something media-savvy audience, who are comfortable with the notion of content on multiple platforms. If they are not interested in a passive medium like TV, they can fully experience ZeD as a stand-alone content website.
