“Shocking and awful” is the way many people view the current situation in Iraq and the United States. The war continues to takes its toll on Iraqi civilians, international aid workers, journalists and U.S. troops. Here at home we are seeing how waging a “perpetual war” is affecting our own lives as well. How does the U.S. military occupation look from the other end of the gun barrel? Was Abu Ghraib an exception or merely an extreme? How has Iraq changed since the fall of Saddam? What is life like under occupation? This program attempts to answer some of those question with on-the-ground footage that shows the humiliation and dehumanization inevitable in a colonial situation.
