When THE BIG BREAKFAST first hit the screens on September 28th 1992, few were prepared for what jumped out from their TV’s. It was million viewers turned on, tuned in and woke up smiling. Very soon it was most talked about show on the telly, and today it makes the morning for 11 million people per week.One year on, and the award winning BIG BREAKFAST has racked up a number of TV firsts. Chris Evans and Gabi Roslin are firmly established as two of the country’s best loved TV personalities, whilst Paula Yate’s boudoir has been home to such celebrities as Mel Gibson, Demi Moore and Arnold Schwarzenegger. As Craig Brown in The Sunday times remarked, “THE BIG BREAKFAST has completely changed the ground rules for breakfast television”.
