The script was built on a series of interviews with the guests of an old people home who in the programme are re-enacting their own stories. There is only one professional actor, Benito Urgu, who acts as a catalyst to provoke and stimulate the others to speak. He is also in charge of making evident the paradoxical aspects of some of the stories. The programme was entirely shot inside the home or in the streets around it. The method of mixing a documentary with a scripted dialogue based on interviews was developed by Giovanni Columbu ('Seven Dreams of Sardinian Shepherds' and 'People and Villages' previously shown at INPUT) and A.d.F; who used to work with him. It is not in general use in RAI, but the peoples invited to take part seem to enjoy it.
