'Poems on the box: the anthology' is an edited compilation of aproximately thirty individual poems which were first shown over seven days on BBC2 in October. These poems appeared seemingly at random, at program junctions throughout the schedule. 'The Athology' was transmitted on Friday November 5th at 9:30 pm and achieved an audience of 1.1 million. The poems were a key element in a mini-season of poetry on BBC 2, which also included 'Poets´News' and 'Re-verse', and archive based program which brought contemporary poets together with some of the great poetic voices from the past. Media reaction to the season was extensive and positive. The season generated features, previews, reviws and reports on the thinking behind 'Poets news'.
