Citadel’s Hospital is the biggest public hospital in Liège. Here doctors devote themselves to the best of their ability to their profession. In the maternity ward, far from the usual scientific certainties, they face daily doubts, ethical questions, hesitations, patients’ despair and violence – in spite of their high professional level and immense wish to do their best. Just human beings. Not Superman, nor Rambo. Able, just like their patients to laugh or cry when in this place, theoretically predestined to welcome new life, death wanders about the corridors. Then the title of the play becomes “mission impossible”.
