What’s it like dating an AI girlfriend? And why would you build a digital clone of yourself? In the 6-part non-fiction series we follow people who have a deep emotional bond with artificial intelligence. One practices social skills using ChatGPT, while the other uses AI to ‛see’. We show that life without AI is already unthinkable for some people. The series takes a critical look at the complex dynamics between man and machine and provides material for critical reflection on the impact of AI on human relationships and the ethical implications of the pursuit of connectedness with non-humans. It raises important questions about the nature of love, ethics and human connection in a technologically driven world. A cinematically striking way of filming allows viewers to dive deep into the thoughts and emotions of the main characters. With unusual camera angles, close-ups and subtle use of perspective, we gain insight into the characters’ inner world and emotional struggles. This allows the viewer to develop an empathetic bond with the main characters, making the series an immersive and personal experience. The narrative form is not sensationalist and the tone of voice of the Voice-Over is calm, descriptive, rational and objective. A podcast and game have also been developed.
