This Zoom guest film is a portrait of 14-year old Diana, a busy teenager who skiis, rides her horse, and spends a lot of time on school work. Diana is unusual only because she recently underwent amputation of a leg due to bone cancer. Still learning to walk with a prosthetic leg, she observes that, “The idea of physical therapy is to make you independent,” and shares her feelings about the reactions of new and old friends to her handicap. Besides skiing and horseback riding, we see Diana as her sister – and cat – accompany her while she plays the violin. Her final statement: “I really look forward to life. It’s very important to me.
