Thabo Moremi is a 20-year-old man who has been in prison and escaped eight times. The police are looking for him, and he is tired of running. He has not been in touch with his family. He asks Zola to help him. Zola makes him realice that in order to start a new life, he has to face his past and take responsibility for his previous actions, which means he will have to go back to the police and hand himself over. He promises to do this. Zola takes him to a lawyer who buys him some time. His journey then becomes saying goodbye to his past and he gets reunited with his family. He has to make peace with them and let them know where he is, where he is going, and the decision he has made. When Zola takes him back to his family, he finds out that his mother passed away and he wants to go to her grave before handing himself over. He has to make a choice though as to whether to go to the grave or to go to the police because the me that he has been allocated is about to expire. He chooses the police. His fingerprints reveal that he is on the wanted list and he therefore is taken into custody right away. Zola is with him all the way until he is taken into the holding cells. Zola comments in the end that prison is not an okay place to be, but Thabo has done a noble thing. He is a man.
