A documentary that shows how a beauty contest has become one of the principal stages where Colombians meet. Thanks to the manipulation of the media and the commercial interests, the pageant has also become the reflection of the Colombian society values: a cult to looks and appearance, to party, to class, to racism, and to “wanna be” people. It paralyzes the country for two weeks and gets more coverage from the media than any news related to politics, war, guerillas or natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes and floods. That’s why this documentary is a sharp and ironic look at the Colombian society beneath all the glamour, the make up, and the frivolousness.
