Worldplay

This educational documentary series was aimed at children aged 6 to 14 and designed to involve the entire family. Thirteen children, all of differing cultural backgrounds living in the northwest of Catalonia, are the focus of this episode.The children visit the home of Yussef, a young uslim boy of Moroccan origin who dreams of becoming a footballer. Yussef has decided to teach his friends some bottle cap street games typically played in Morocco and to make it even more fun, he decides to organise Bottle Cap Olympics. The series is filmed from the children’s’ perspective and never loses sight of the main objective: free rein for the kids to speak their minds, far from the restraints of TV scripts and studios. The series comprises 13 20-minute episodes. Given its high audience ratings a second season was broadcast in April 2008.
