Who’s in charge?

WHO’S IN CHARGE is a two hour version of a four day working conference in which 30 unemployed Canadians were invited to explore their experience of employment and unemployment. It carries forward work we did in cinema verite and actually drama like WARRENDALE AND A MARRIED COUPLE into the rather different dynamics and phenomena of large groups in this case in a conference setting. It could be described as both a two hour, talking head, actuality drama and a paradigm for the needs and tensions which necessarily exist between the individual and society. The program may be a useful stimulus to a discussion of how society works to effect or subvert its conscious objectives.
