Video Amicorum

“Video Amicorum” is a programme which was made as a tribute to Hans van Manen. Several friends and colleagues of this famous Dutch choreographer made their contributions. Some of them made their own item. Others offered their idea to director Wilbert Bank who directed the programmes. Everybody was free to chose their own way of participating in this programme. There were only 2 limitations: 1. The contribution could be no longer than 3 ½ minute. 2. In the item there should be no expression of their admiration for Van Manen. The last item of the production is Van Manen´s own “Dance of the Wooden Shoes.” All dancers who ever worked with Van Manen (or still working with him) agreed to participate in this dance.
