Tikitiklip, with a craftwork cast is a fusion of animation, music and culture. Is an animated series of 12 x 2 Video Clips (each with different animation techniques) for children, which incorporates animated handcrafted figures. The songs are short fun story lines full of great values, rhythm, humor, beautiful scenes and performed in the local language (Spanish). The story lines are originally from Maria Luz Uribe, a Chilean poet (not alive) who brings to children’s lives an imaginary world filled with positive messages like good feelings, creativity, dignity and solidarity. The music is originally from Miranda y Tobar. The animated characters are all objects that represent the unique icons in the arts and crafts of Chile, bringing to TV the handcrafts from the “markets” into the kids’ lives. Tikitiklip, with a craftwork cast is an innovative way to learn and experience the diversity and cultural backgrounds and bring it alive, creating an emotional and friendly relationship between the children and the traditional arts of a country.
