In a cellar under his suburban house, Mr. Frede Farmand keeps his secret. Thousand of sound and video tapes, produced during 20 years of work for ultra right with groups in Denmark.In the summer of 1993 Frede Farmand decided to betray his right wing friends. He gave two TV journalists access to his secret material. The journalists used the tapes in their investigation of the activities of Neo-nazis and other non-democratic movements.The result is “The Secret Tapes” –a revealing documentary about threats, violence, racism in Denmark.The documentary tells the story of clandestine links between violent underground groups and political parties –and the story of the Nazi-leader who was removed from the party when he fell in love with a Palestinian girl.
