Some cultures forbid photography because they fear it will steal their spirit. In 1999, in Monument Valley Utah, a Navajo community gathers to watch a film they have never seen, shot of them in 1952. Yet another film crew captures this experience with a mission to expose in mind. But events take a surprising turn. What we expect is not what we get. Issues of personal responsibility arise, as in: how do we repay the debt when we 'borrow' people's lives for 'our' story and then just walk away from the 'fallout'.
