“Collapse” is the fourth and final film in the Channel 4 series “The Nation’s Health”. Bernice Attwood is a teenager and a patient in Coldbrook Mental Hospital. Although Bernice manages to get transformed from the closed ward where she has been a patient, to a small therapeutic community –run by psychiatric consultant Dr. Clive Hendrix and his psychiatric registrar Robin Hindmarsh, she finds her hopes of being transferred to a halfway house outside the hospital blocked by the cutbacks suffered by the hospital and organized opposition by local residents.
