The highly exalted

Slow paced, beautifully photographed, this documentary is the story of three young itinerant cowboys who work on a half million acre ranch in northern Nevada. Using sync sound and their own voice-over narration, these cowboys describe their life following one of the last horsedrawn chuckwagons in America for six months of the year, sleeping on the ground in tepees, and working cattle completely from horseback. These men drew from a long-standing tradition of cowboys who ride the range. THE HIGLY EXALTED allows these cowboys to tell their own stories – so that what results is a historical document of convincing authenticity.
