The crazy monkey

A native stock clerk in a modern department store observes with yearning the well-off customers in their Europan-style clothes. Capricibusly he changes into a cutaway suit and a top hat and saunters out of the store. Hi finds a car left moments before at the curb, and of he drives. When he discovers money and a gun in the glove compartment his fantasy is complete. Intoxicated with his new trappings of Western power and success he becomes an instant hero in his village to everyone but his son, Whom he takes on as his chauffeur. But as the police begin their search this ill-begotten adventure has only begun... A fictional commentary on the power of money and appearances, and vulnerability on both sides of the law.
