FACE TO FACE (Oog in Oog) is a long running series (up till now 25 episodes) weekly broadcasted at the same time: 220.05 hr at Sunday-evening, functioning the same way as a “slice-of-daily-life-column” in the printed press. Main intention is to show a great variety of themes, settings (the whole series is shot on location), writers and actors. The stories are “stand-alone” and differ very much, contently and atmospherically. Some of the writers have great experience in the field of television-drama, others are novelists or journalist and making a debut on the screen. All of them –as well as the actors and actresses- are very well known in Holland and Belgium.Reason for presenting this program at INPUT: this is an example of innovative television drama in its form (the actor communicates directly with the camera and thus with the audience), and it is made “on scratch”, with very low budgets, by one of the smaller broadcasting companies in Holland.
