Seelisberg, a small mountain community, home to the Rütli slopes, where Switzerland was founded some 700 years ago, is in turmoil. The Catholic church has sent Chidi Ilechukwu, a Nigerian priest, to minister to the very conservative congregation. Like in the old times the black communities of Africa had to cope with the white missionaries, this white community in the heart of Switzerland has to cope with the new ideas of a black priest. Chidi has introduced drums, dancing and joy to the traditional services, not to the likings of everyone. To many of the older people his presence in the church of Seelisberg does not sit well to say the least. Chidi himself struggles with loneliness, for the Swiss are a solitary breed. This documentary tells the classic story of a clash of cultures and how a smile can move mountains, even in the Swiss Alps.
