The Water Carrier

In 1926 in a small village in Colombia, a young doctor operates on a blindman suffering from cataracts – the first operation of its kind ever performed in his country. As a result, Bernabe, an old man who supplies water to the village recovers his sight after fifty years of blindness. Based on a true story, 'The Water Carrier' tells the incredible tale of Bernabe and the difficulties he experiences after recovering his sight.
