In the winter of 1992, New York scientist Helen Fisher isolated the material that love is made of. Fisher, an anthropologist considered a prodigy, searched and found that love is nothing but an unbelievable hormonal matter composed of a fantastic chemical substance: Phenyl Ethyl Anime--in short, P.E.A. Ten years after Fisher’s discovery, director Ari Folman goes out on a three year journey, documenting eight incredible Israeli love stories, searching for the wonderful love matter with the help of a top scientist. All of them are real, but brimming with fantastic cut-out animation.
