'The Last Trace' is a trip through the southern landscapes of the world, through an ancestral language and through the history of two sisters that remember it. And what their memory is able to give us this far away from this world. The voices of these two women reflect the identity of a people almost extinguished at the beginning of this century, the Yagans. They are the oldest women in the community, Ursula and Cristina Calderón, and through their stories we get to know this culture’s customs, the ones that existed before and also those that still continue to be effective. An important historical testimony, signed by the urgency of registering the last voices alive of this southern people. The voices and memories of Ursula and Cristina, mix with the landscape, the music and the beautiful sound of their language in order to build a strong and emotional story about a people condemned to die. A journey through the memory, the solitude and the images of a lost world.
