This documentary series tells the story of the eventful life of Germany’s most famous MMA professional Christian ‘The Kelt’ Jungwirth. The series takes an unbiased look at different phases of the protagonist’s life, tells the story of his youth as a budding professional footballer at VfB Stuttgart, his decommissioning because of injury, his following depression and his slide down the slippery slope. In the interview he talks for the first time about his imprisonment, his first experiences of fighting as a football hooligan and also about a tattoo on his chest, that has since been blacked. It wasn’t until he was 28 that he found his way into combat sports and decided to quit his job at 30 to become an MMA professional — a path that took him from cage fights in Eastern Europe to become one of the most famous MMA professionals in central Europe. This series is a milestone for the German public service broadcaster SWR and opened it up to a completely new target group.
