The Impostor

The life of Paco Giménez. Or is it? He is the subject of what looks like a traditional documentary. Numerous people who knew him give us a different perspectives. His mother, a school mate, a teacher, two friends, a sister’s friend, a distant admirer: to all of them he is a gifted figure. The stuff of myth: child prodigy, gifted singer, actor, a sensitive artist, all in all magnetic and charismatic person. But what we see of him belies all of that. What are we to make of it? Are the testimonies valid? Is he an imposter? Who knows for sure. Just life, real life isn’t it?
