TEN TALK was a series designed to mark 1993’s International women’s day. Ten Irish women with very different interests and backgrounds were asked to write and present a short piece, each giving her own personal view of the state of womanhood in 1993.The one minute packages were targeted at different audiences and schedules like commercials or promos in ten different slots throughout the TV day. They were given no advance publicity, appearing before and after relevant programs reminding the public why such a day exists. Their production style depends on the effectives of simplicity and the power of one woman’s personal account. There was no budget and each persona contributed their time and work on a voluntary basis.
