Symbols
'More Tears' is an outrageous and provocative four-part satire from award-winning creator / writer / director / producer / star Ken Finkleman. Finkleman goes after the entire business of TV news and corruption of reality in the name of infotaiment. It´s a savage look at media manipulation. This first episode, 'Symbols', revolves around a little girl stuck down a well. As rescuers work to save the girl, rapacious news crews, politicians and TV movie-of-the-week producers converge. The story quickly veers from human tragedy to media-orchestrated farce. Everyone has an agenda – even the child´s mother. All of the players are revealed as ruthless opportunists who will say and do anything for the sake of making 'good TV.' As George Findlay, the ethically-challenged, utterly self-absorbed TV producer played by Finkleman says, 'all we can do is hope and pray that she comes up in a decent timeslot.'
