Sve-à-long is a series of 30 minute programs for young adults. This episode deals with gender roles and identity. Radical Cheerleading started as a form of resistance to the traditional cheerleading culture, where girls are supposed to look good in miniskirts and wave their pompoms while cheering on the guys doing the sports. Since then, young women in Sweden, who run their own clubs and criticize society in a provocative manner, have picked up this sub culture. They do so from a feministic point of view, whereby the controversial use of slogans such as ”cut the Johns’ dicks off” refers to the exploitation of women. Many forms of expression can be seen and heard in the program: Political rhymes, poetry, music, photography, performances, fiction and documentary. These are tied together by graphics and music.
