Strip-tease, a searching journal of Belgian reality. Banality: Strip-tease does not necessary show exceptional people on situations; it is not particularly attracted by eccentrics and monsters. But it believes that Belgians know little of each other that the banalities of some of them titillate the curiosity of the others. Honesty: Strip-tease tries to be honest. Its greatest wish would be that people filmed will always recognize themselves in the films. And that those who are indignant or amused when watching them on the screen, would have the same attitude when discovering them in reality. Humour: Contested by part of the viewers. Imbecility: Strip-tease tries not to make fools of the viewers. It gives elements for reflection but does not draw any conclusions. It shows images but does not impose their interpretation. Objectivity: See Subjectivity. Perfection: Strip-tease grants a great important to directing. Therefore, it has a minimum, of appointed directors and many directors without tittles: a kaleidoscopic vision of Belgium implies a great variety of view and a minim of perfection. Subjectivity: see Objectivity. Television: Strip-tease is no fiction: everything shown reflects Belgian reality. But Strip-tease tries to be television: it leaves to the press on the radio anything to which the image and the sound cannot contribute with a “plus”.
