Stringers are freelance reporters. The stringers in this film are skilled in filming the most dangerous situations. The richest TV channels are their partners and employers. This occupation is not very popular. Only about 70 stringers work all over the world, and 15 of them are Russians. Russian stringers, along with Australian ones, are said to be the most foolhardy. 'They would get through everything and film everything', western producers say. Therefore, it is not a surprise that a Russian TV company produced the first film about stringers.
