How does one portray a man who refuses to talk about himself? That’s the challenge taken up by director Vassili Silovic in this documentary dedicated to Philippe Starck. The infamous designer set the rules right from the start: no digging into his past, no talking about his career or even design, and none of his pieces can be shown. If this documentary was to be made, it should be about his mind. Challenged to this tour de force, Vassili Silovic has doubts, accepts, and then enthusiastically rises to the occasion. The film is a two-man show in which two personalities work together on a crazy project.
