The series Sons of “The Box” is an experimental television program designed to listen to what young people have to say about television: What have they been doing with television messages? How do they use television images in everyday life? How do they imagine television could express their thoughts, feelings, and needs? What kind of stories would they like to tell in television? Sons of “The Box” is television to describe who young people are and how they think as Colombians; the way to make sense is talking about television. Visually the program is simple, fluid television; television that has to be attractive, fresh, experimental, humorous, playful, ironic, mobile. We want to make television with a young look that tells stories; we want to do a visual dilution, an expressive trip which looks like a magazine but simultaneously is about chronicles, testimonies, memories in video, video clips, talk shows, and opinion. It pretends to be young television without screams, beyond the fashion, but an alternative form of expressing ways of being young in this time where nostalgia is lost. In this episode young people talk about how television is nothing but a lot of nonsense. 'Television is about stealing the soul of people,' the youth said.
