Soldiers of fortune

Jürgen Roth, a journalist from Frankfurt, spent months investigating the activities of arms dealers. During the course of his research, he discovered that a so called ' Ansus Fundation' based in the Netherlands was interested in infantry weapons for reinforce army divisions, and had been advertising, in such magazines as 'Soldier of fortune' to recruit mercenaries with relevant experience. After having uncovered a secret P.O Box number in Amsterdam he gained the confidence of the manager of the ' Ansus Foundation', a Surinamese gentleman, who wanted to liberate his home country from the Bourtese régime. Jürgen Roth received details concerningthe financing of the organization, the military planning of the coup against Surinam which was to be launchedwith the tacit approval of the Dutch and French authorities from French Guyana. Probably as a result of the premature publication of the plan in WDR (WDF) in March 1985, the operation was dropped without a murmur and the remaining Ansus members who were planning to launch a kind of partisan rebellion from New Orleans, USA, were arrested.
