SITCOM: The Adventures of Garry Marshall is a half-hour documentary look behind the scenes of network primetime TV production. Marshall, one of the five most powerful producers of TV programming, is shown at work on the sets of Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and Mork and Mindy.Marshall describes the ingredients of a hit TV comedy –one-third content, one-third, scheduling, and one-third time in history. In order to succeed, a show must get 21 million people –t million will watch for laughs, another 7 for “heart”, and the final, hardest 7 million watch for “something different”.In between these bon mots, Marshall is seen putting together his various shows, culminating in the filming of an episode of Happy Days.
