Self Portrait with Mother

A frank self-portrait of a once very productive cameraman's crusade against his own alcoholism. We accompany him as he seeks advice from his friends, a psychiatrist, the church and, especially, in talks with his mother who has been haunted by the family's alcoholism for years. Is it possible to escape from alcoholism, virtually a traditional way of life for centuries?
