Passover is coming, and so is Tamar’s Bat-Mitzvah, the day she will become responsible for her own deeds. Tamar lives in a religious village and is preparing for her speech with her teacher, who tells her about the connection between external cleansing for the Passover holiday and internal purification. Tamar is constantly searching for answers in the old books and concludes that she is impure along with everything she touches. She tries to clean everything – at the same time not touching anything. In the end she succumbs to her fear and runs to the ritual bath (Mikve) for a final dip.
