Rose and Rana

Rose is 16, Dutch, blonde, a lousy student and totally boy-crazy. Rana, also 16, is Turkish, and a brilliant student in all subjects, but she really hates Rose's countless macho boyfriends. Nevertheless, Rose and Rana are bosom friends who would die for each other and know each other's most intimate secrets; they keep a friendship diary in which they write down all their shared secrets. The diary passes back and forth between the two girls; no one else is ever allowed to read it except Rose and Rana themselves. They are two very passionate and lively girls, who share one heartfelt desire: to become famous... One evening, when Rose is at home alone for the umpteenth time because her mother is on night shift, Rana has another blazing row with her mother: this time because her brother gave her mother the secret diary. As a result, Rana can only leave the house when chaperoned by her brother. Rose and Rana decide to run away from home to find Rana's aunt who runs a modelling agency in Izmir, Turkey… While their families are organising search parties and with Rana's father in hot pursuit, the girls get mixed up in humorous, exciting and dramatic events on the train. At the end of their journey, the Turkish border police take them off the train. Rana's father is waiting for them. A whole new adventure awaits them.
